I wanted to create a wall art which is easily made using spare wood. It can be used to decorate any space in your home.

Here’s how we made it:

You will need many 2x2 blocks of different heights. I used 1.25, 1.5in, 1.75in and 2in blocks. For this get 2x2s and cut them using a miter saw.

Now, arrange the blocks in a pattern that you like on a quarter inch plywood. There is no specific pattern, just put them randomly and see if you like it.

Next, select some spray paints with colours you like. I chose these colours to complement the colour theme in my home. Then spray paint the blocks with different colours in batches.

Once you have the blocks ready, you will need get ready to glue the blocks. Place 2x4s on top and sides to guide the straight lines.

Go line by line and glue them using the wood glue.

This is how it looks once done. Let it dry and then attach a wall hanging kit on the back. It's now ready to go on the wall :)
