Tips And Ideas For Dressers

Keep it neat: It might be tempting, but don’t use the top of the dresser as temporary storage. This will clutter your room.
Opt for maximum storage: Choose as much storage space as possible, so that the dresser can be used in the long term as your family grows.
Go lighter: As long as it matches your other furniture, paint your dresser a light color to make it look less imposing and bulky.
Have a system: Don’t be tempted to throw everything into the drawers. Come up with a plan for where and how you store items in your dresser.
Keep drawers closed: Keep dresser drawers shut to prevent anyone bumping into them. This will also make the room look less busy.

I have a dresser and armoire made by Drexel the numbers on the back of dresser say 704-136-88 under that says 11/68.I have been wanting to try to find more pieces and I’m not having any luck I thought if I had a name of this group it might help to find more pieces.They almost have a Bombay feel to them. They are an off white or beige the handles have a flower design and there’s some gold trim around it. If and when he won knows the answer to this it would be very much appreciated

I inherited this great vintage dresser and marching chest that my parents got when they were 1st married. I plan to use it- it is extremely well built. Buy. the blond veneer is not my style and it is very yellowed. I kind of feel guilty about painting it but not sure how to fix the yellowed finish if I didn't repaint. You guys are all so clever. New Bedroom Dresser Projects

We've collected our new DIY bedroom dresser projects. Have a look around.

Old dresser from Hospice resell shop restored.

We found this old dresser at the Hospice resell shop. It came with a mirror and had some problems with the finish. I sanded it down and repainted it for my daughter's bedroom. I also had to repair some of the bracing on the drawer dividers to get them back in place. The hardware was bead blasted and had a clear coat put over them.The mirror is the orginal glass and the frame was repainted to match the dresser.
