Happy memorial day weekend everyone! My husband and I are working hard to make our yard look nicer, so we decided to ditch out our portable metal fire pit for a permanent one. If you're interested in building one yourself, check out the minimal steps to achieve one of your own!
I always loved the look of a fire pit, the idea of sitting outside relaxing under the stars whilst watching the flames just appealed, but I only had a small terrace. So i put my creative head on and with a few euros and some basic garden and craft supplies my lovely fire pit was built.
This backyard fire pit was a project we did last summer but it’s something we use almost all year (until the snow comes!). It is awesome! Plus it’s easy to do, costs very little money, and requires very little skill (bonus!). I wanted to share the tutorial and photos of how we made this fire pit with you so you might be inspired to make one of your own!
How I used leftover flagstones from an old flower bed and some easy concrete technique to create an outdoor space.

I grew up going to a cabin that had a firepit. It was the heart of the activities. Everyone came together around it and the best memories happened there. So, when my husband and I bought our own cabin (right next to the one I grew up going to), our top priority was building a firepit.
When the weather's warm, parties tend to migrate to the outdoors. And what hotter way to enjoy your time outside than around an oh-so modern Fire Table. I absolutely love the look...but not the hefty price tag. It's easy to make your own - one that will be the envy of your friends, but at a fraction of the retail cost.
Hi Hometalk! I decided to make my own custom BBQ smoker. I used 280L/80Galon, 2 adjustable intakes, 2 adjustable outflows and 1 real exhaust from Yamaha Virago :-)What's awesome about this project is that it is all made from junk I had. My goal is to gain some more DIY experience and practice my welding on thin metal. Think of this post as my beta test, so stay tuned for the next version!
