My desk is in a constant state of cord chaos, thanks to all the plugging and unplugging that goes on there on a daily basis. It takes about five seconds for all my cords to tangle together and then about 15 minutes to get them back in order. In NYC, every nook and cranny should be utilized! As soon as you walk into this apartment, you're smacked in the face with a long and narrow hallway to your left and the only bathroom directly in front of you. Where do you drop your keys? The mail? Your purse? We hate shoes piling up on the floor more than anything, so we knew we had to come up with something creative. We had a 14" x 12" corner full of valuable real estate, but we knew we couldn't just install boring floating shelves or shop forever for a perfectly-sized, expensive piece of furniture. Reclaimed wood, old spindles, and plumbing fittings and piping would do just the trick. We created a tall corner unit with 5 shelves--perfect for catching those small everyday items that can otherwise make your entryway look cluttered.

I have two pullout sleeves in my island. I have baking pans, pots with lids, and frying pans. Need to organize all of this in this one location. Hanging from ceiling will not work. There is a half shelf inside. I was thinking to do double pullout and remove that half shelf.

IKEA Desk File Holder Used to Organize Tupperware in Your Cupboard

Ok I can not be the only one who struggles with those darn Tupperware lids and finding the matching bottoms. The strugglenis real people! I have tried many thing to organize my cupboard. Put all kids with containers, this does not work as you have to have a ton of storage for this and it is not a space saver at all. I have tried a huge Rubbermaid bin, like a cake topper, to hold all the lids and then stack the bottoms. All that did was make us search endlessly for the tops, only to realize that we had thrown the bottom away. So I was shopping at IKEA and I saw a 2 pack of plastic white desk files. And I had an idea... if I turn them on their side and place small lids in one, medium in another and so on. What it did was finally organize my lazy Susan and my Tupperware!

Hanging Chicken Wire Fruit / Produce Baskets

I have had my produce in a bowl on my counter for ages, but I could really use the counter space for other things. That's why I decided to make a hanging produce basket! This is a cheap and easy fix considering it's made from chicken wire! All you have to do is cut and bend the wire in the shape of your choice, and hang it where you please!
