How do I make a window frame?
I have top and bottom of a old window. I want to make a frame that will hold it and that the lower window will go up and down with the weight inside the frame. Then I will hang it on the wall. I know, right, that would be way cool if I could do that for my window I have. Thanks,Katie

Here is a picture of an old window with sash weights. You could make a frame and buy the pulleys. https://www.oldhouseonline.com/repairs-and-how-to/replace-broken-sash-cord
I have a house full of double sash, weight propelled windows and I suggest you look at such a window and replicate that for your wall, but why you want to do the rigamole with sash cords and heavy weights for a display that could be handled by some sort of a pole or such, I don't understand
Windows are fairly complicated to make, from scratch. Look at you tube videos,on how to make a window with weights.
Clean your DIY window frame by these steps:
Use a soft, dry brush to get rid of loose dirt.
Wash the frame down with a mild detergent water, and a soft cloth.
Don’t use too much water - soaking your wood will cause it to rot.
Use a toothbrush for any hard to reach areas.
Go to your local Habitat for Humanity store and find one a little larger than you need, then take it apart and cut it to fit. Glue all the joints, give it a good sanding, and finish off with your glass and moldings around the glass.
