Frame a Mirror With Moulding and Tiles
I made a colorful frame for a builder-grade mirror with wood moulding pieces, glass and stone mosaic tiles, and a bit of improvisation.

This is an easy DIY that was inspired by a Restoration Hardware rope mirror and completes my vision for my house entryway. While it looks great and was easy to make.
I love re-styling outdated pieces. One of my fondest ways to update an old look is to add appliqués and age the look with various painting techniques.
During one of my many weekly Hobby Lobby jaunts, I found these gorgeous clock hands for $9. ($5 with that handy-dandy 40% off coupon!) And they gave me an idea! I had an unused glass table top that I decided to transform into an antique clock. Although lets be honest, I was leaving Hobby Lobby with an idea one way or another. Who doesn't?
Both of these projects were made with dollar store items and are simple to make! The mirror is a great decor piece and the magnets are fun for the fridge!

My husband and I each have a closet and they are mirrored. I hate them. (1970s) What can I do with them?
I rent so don't really want to go to all the trouble of removing them but would love to cover them up. Should I paint? (If so, what kind of paint?) Paper? A friend suggested decoupage? What do you think?
The silver is coming off the back of my bath mirror around the edges there is no way to get to the back of this mirror to re-silver it. l was thinking of painting a frame on the front of the mirror, wondered if any one had experience with this kind of thing, what they did /used and how it held up? Thank in advance for your help.
