How to Decorate a Room

Choose your theme: Choose your color scheme and the look you want to go for. This will dictate what decor to get and the linen you should purchase.
Introduce your base colors: Choose a color scheme for your carpets, rugs, curtains, and any other fabric items. They should match or be complementary.
Add a few reflective items: Bring in a few glass or metallic items. This will bring balance to the matte textures.
Choose your wall decor: Add mirrors to enlarge a room. Paintings will add a matte feel, creating a homey atmosphere.
Bring a light source into the room: Ensure there is enough strong light in the room. If the windows are small, add candles and lamps, which are also decorative.

It was an amazing day yesterday! We were able to get out and start some yardwork...you know...that kind that is fun...getting ready to plant!I looked over and my one small dogwood was in bloom so I had to make a bouquet to take inside.I guess the Iris will be next, followed by the Gardenia with the Day Lilies showing their beauty in the hot months of July and August!ENJOY THE SPRING AND SUMMER...AND POST PHOTOS!!!!

Cork Ribbon Flowers

I found cork ribbon on clearance and knew exactly what I would do with it. I love cork and think having it available in ribbon opens up more possibilities in creativity. Regular cork is just too bulky and stiff to actually make flexible things. I've always wanted to make cork flowers out of cork. I actually tried to make small ones using wine corks, but I wasn't handy with carving and gave up rather quickly. Now I had my chance. I bought two different sizes of cork ribbon and didn't waste any time putting my cork flowers together.
